Born in Talladega, Alabama - yeah, like the movie, she ran-did-not-walk to New York right after high school. Armed with a double major in French Literature and Theatre ( Phi Beta Kappa, from Vassar, which has helped approximately zero times) she headed to LA. On screen, she's been, among other things, Maria Bello's ex, Robert Patrick's hooker nemesis, Hank Azaria's hooker nemesis, Hayden Panettiere's lawyer nemesis, Gina Rodriguez' yuppie nemesis, Ed Begley Jr.'s angry daughter, Malcolm McDowell's homicidal daughter, Octavia Spencer's needy patient, and the fertility specialist for everyone's favorite biracial transgender couple. Oh and, briefly, a demon in actual hell. Her original translation and adaptation of Moliere's "Tartuffe," set in Roy-Moore era Alabama, has played for two seasons at Birmingham's Virginia Samford Theatre. She's performed Shakespeare on stage, Chekhov on film, and her own material in every medium available, culminating in the zoom episodic she's just co-written and starred in, "The Corona Dialogues," for which she just won Best Actress at The Indie Fest Awards. Gertrude Michael was born in Talladega, Alabama, on June 1, 1911. After graduating from high school, she appeared on radio, as a musician and "Home Arts" advisor. A piano prodigy, she dropped out of the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music at age 18 to pursue acting. It was in Cincinnati, in 1929, that she made her stage debut in a stock company headed by Stuart Walker. She subsequently appeared on Broadway in Rachel Crothers's "Caught Wet" (1931). She entered the movies playing Richard Arlen's fiancée in Wayward (1932). Arguably her best remembered role is the jealous "Rita Ross" of Murder at the Vanities (1934). She died in Hollywood on December 31, 1964, having never married. She was interred at the Chapel of the Pines Crematory, Los Angeles, California.- Kent Lipham was born to Jimmy and Nancy Lipham in 1961. He has a younger brother named Jamie. Around the age of sixteen, fearing he was becoming agoraphobic his mother insisted Kent join a club. Not being very smart, athletic, or crafty the drama club seemed perfect for him. The roar of the grease paint and the smell of the crowd thrilled Kent. Finally he went to his mother and said "I'm going to be an actor and it's all your fault!" After graduating from Talladega High School in 1980, Mom and Pop shipped Kent off to University where he studied Communication Arts (mostly theatre). His favorite subjects were puppetry and ballet, with modern jazz a close third. He received his B.F.A. from the University of Montevallo in 1984. He then packed his orange Malibu Classic and headed for Hollywood. He appeared in four films in the 80s and early 90s. Encouraged by fans visiting his message boards on IMDB he has recently decided to return to the business which had never really left his system to begin with.

She was most popular in Westerns opposite cowboy stars such as Hoot Gibson although her career was less than a decade long. She made her Hollywood debut in a series of comedies called 'The Newlyweds and Their Baby', and her national reputation was boosted by two serials The Vanishing Rider (1928) and Queen of the Northwoods (1929). In 1929, Ms. Clair was named by the Western Association of Motion Picture Advertisers (or WAMPAS) as one of 13 Baby Stars, along with Helen Twelvetrees and Loretta Young. Unfortunately for her, her voice wasn't deemed to resonate well in talkies and her career was cut short.
